Blender Environment Artist: Create 3D Worlds in Blender 5.1
Create 3D Assets For Video Games And Make Unique Environments
Create Boss-Level Environments

Start Simple, Build Fast
Every great environment starts with one asset that just works. You'll get comfortable in Blender 5.1's interface and build your first modular castle - simple, satisfying, and the foundation for everything that follows.

Add Detail, Add Drama
Time to push further. You'll add textures, lighting and atmosphere to transform your castle into a genuinely spooky corridor scene and start to see what Blender 5.1 can really do.

Build Like a Pro
This is where it gets serious. You'll learn multiple modelling techniques side by side, from quick and simple to detailed and high-end, so you can always pick the right tool for the job.

Create Your Outdoor Scene
Rocks, trees, landscape, a medieval house. You'll build a full, realistic outdoor environment from scratch using modular pieces that slot together cleanly and look great in any game engine.

Build Your Asset Library
By now you've got a serious collection of game-ready assets. You'll bring them all into Blender's Asset Browser so every window, door, rock and tree is ready to drag into any future project - your own personal asset pack, built by you.

Ever wanted to create beautiful 3D environments - the kind you'd actually see in a game?
This is the course that gets you there.
Follow along with Grant as he builds a series of stunning, game-ready environments in Blender 5.1, starting with a fun modular castle, moving through a detailed spooky corridor, and culminating in a full outdoor scene complete with rocks, trees, landscape and a medieval house.
Everything you build is modular. That means every asset (windows, doors, rooftops, rocks, trees) goes straight into your Asset Browser, ready to drag into any future project. Build your library once. Use it forever.
And because 5.1 is faster, smoother and more powerful than ever, you'll spend less time waiting and more time creating.
No experience needed. Grant starts from the very basics of the Blender interface and builds your skills methodically, so you're never thrown in at the deep end. Along the way you'll work with multiple modelling techniques - from the quickest and simplest approaches to detailed, high-end game asset creation. So you can see exactly when and why to use each one.
By the end you'll have a full set of game-ready modular assets, the skills to build more, and environments you'll actually want to show people.

Grant Abbitt
Hi, I'm Grant!
I started learning blender in the late 90’s and started using it for some motion graphics work for a small film company that I ran.
I went into teaching which was meant more as a backup option when the film work was not so regular. The teaching gradually took over and I have been teaching now for around 15 years. I moved into teaching games design 6 years ago which rekindled my excitement for 3D animation. I then started to find bits and pieces of freelance work and created my YouTube channel Gabbitt Media.
Since then my channel has over 500,000 subscribers and I have worked on game models for the game Atlas Empires along with many other interesting projects from engineering to 3d printing.
